Adorable Infant Fashion Tuesday

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

I love the coloring on these two adorable babies! I can't wait to finish my Tinkerblush samples.

Kyra Legler In Progress Ohmigosh Sweet *SOLD*

Thursday, April 9, 2015

Sorry for the dark picture but this baby is so sweet! Team Cinnamon Charm, lol! Well, actually she is Cinnamon Charm with Cacao Silk blush-- at least that's what her chart says. I don't remember painting her blush at all, lol! I can't believe how long I have been working on her. She is a private order from last year, yikes! She is another that sat around waiting for attention while my hand healed. I have a brace on my hand now so I will get back to her rooting next week. She will have straight hair per her mommy's request.

I can see from this photo that her hairline needs work. I also need to tweak her eyebrows. Just a couple of quick fixes, no problem. Her overall coloring looks just the way it should. Nothing to change there. And oh, these are not her permanent eyes, they are plastic eyes. I have a pair of onyx brown glass on order.

I searched and searched for a Spanish style outfit for Kyra, but I only found winter styles. I decided to go with a Katie Rose boutique outfit for her. It is adorable! It will show off her cute legs and I love the headband thingy. It will look great with Kyra's straight hair. Be back soon!

Infant Fashion: An Ivory Gown For Julietta

Monday, March 23, 2015

Julietta definitely gives off an elegant vibe. It has been a while since I have designed a fancy baby. I would say that Cassandra, Sarah Bella, Kimani, and Natalia all fit into this so-called 'fancy' category. Their face sculpts just need lace, smocking, truffles and ruffles. The Toffee Topia skin tone is very warm, so the color ivory was my first choice. I drove around from store to store today hunting for an elegant ivory gown, but I could only find white gowns. White works for the Apricot Love-A-Lots and Cacao Silks, but not the Toffee Topia babies. These three gowns were my top choices. I loved them all, but I could only choose one. You'll have to wait and see which one I chose for Julietta. I'll do her photo shoot this weekend. :)

Infant Fashion Sunday: Petit Lem So Pretty

Sunday, March 22, 2015

Petit Lem has some of the sweetest things for newborns! The thing about Petit Lem is that their garments look 100% better in person than they do in pictures. The quality is amazing. My local boutique carries some of these styles, but I have to shop online for newborn sizes. I ordered most of the pictured pieces. I can't get over how adorable the Swan Poem pieces are! I can't use them because they start at 3 months and I need the newborn size. I have one of these outfits for Julietta's box packing. I am still looking for a nice, fancy gown for Julietta's photo shoot. I may need to take a trip to Baby Beau and Belle next. ;)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Reborn-Angel-PROTOTYPE-Lelou-Wosnjuk-AA-A-A-Black-Girl-by-Brooke-Nicole-/261689419499?

Hi ladies! This darling baby is a prototype for Evelina Wosnjuk's new Lelou kit. I am in LOVE with this sculpt and I can't wait to reborn many many more! I was in awe of the blank kit and I just adore the way Angel turned out! Take a look at Angel's web page. She is sure to delight! I don't usually hold my reborn babies, but I can't seem to put this little girl down! :) She is THAT cute! She looks so real in person that it scares me. I just love her skin coloring and silky curls!

Angel's outfit is the "Hotchpotch Floral" designed by Naartjie. As many know, Naartjie is one of my favorite newborn clothing lines, and I just can't believe they are going out of business! I ordered this pink outfit knowing it would be my last outfit from Naartjie (sniff sniff). It is a more saturated bubblegum pink than the picture on Naartjie's website, but it is still cute cute cute! :) Goodbye, Naartjie! Thank you for all of the cute pie clothes. You will be missed.

So as you all can see from Angel, I have been busy busy working on several new techniques. Angel has the updated Cacao Silk skin tone complete with my new *Truffle Fluff* technique, as well as my *Cloudwork Skin Patina* technique. These two depth techniques go hand and hand with the new *Flesh Stacking* technique. I guess you can call them all sister techniques. :) I did not use Angel to document the new *Truffle Fluff* technique for the tutorial, I forgot to take pictures, so the next tutorial has been delayed. I will have to wait until I have a darker brown baby ready to reborn. All the orders I have coming up are lighter brown babies, so it looks like January will be the soonest for the depth & details tutorial. Thank you all for your patience!

I am rambling because I am super busy. I am sorry if this post seems unorganized. :) My real kiddo is home from school today with the flu (poor baby, ohmigosh!) and I have two vinyl babes to root and ship. If anyone is interested in adopting the magnificent Angel Aubrielle, email me at brookenicole222 @ yahoo.com. Until next time...:)

Infant Fashion: Baby Beau & Belle- Lovely Times Infinity!

Saturday, November 1, 2014

Lovely is an understatement! These garments are like ohmigosh pretty! I can't think of anything else to type, I am just speechless. The headband is my favorite! I thought I loved the headband from the Natalie collection, but this one is my new favorite. ♥  I would also love to have a furry beanbag like the one in the first picture. I can't seem to find those anywhere-- for a good price, lol! I am pretty cheap when it comes to photography props. I may cave and get one though. It is absolutely gorgeous-- just like the baby model! She is too cute! Someone should sculpt her!

Infant Fashion: Next Bunny Stuff

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

Hey buttercups! I tried not to visit the Next Direct website because I knew it would cause me to have a good case of the "gimmies", but look at this adorable stuff! I want every single piece, literally. I can't believe most of these items are sold out. Well, I guess I can believe it because the pieces are adorable, but they didn't save anything for me? Gosh. :) The bunny pram thingy has been restocked, so hopefully the other pieces will be restocked also. I REALLY want the Fairy Scene dress and the Tartan Hem tunic and leggings. I also want that bunny hat. I will try to stalk the website like a hawk. ;)

More Infant Fashion Sunday: Le Top

Sunday, August 17, 2014

Oh my my my my! Or, shall I say, oooh lah lah? :) I love these designs by Le Top. I will probably end up purchasing these items when the local boutiques stock them this fall. I have been waiting for Le Top to release another collection that features a fuzzy hooded jacket over a footed romper. That is one of my favorite styles for newborns. It looks so snuggly and stylish. The coordinating cap adds the final touch. Good job, Le Top!

And this little number is also adorable. If I can't find some sort of hat, blanket or headband to match, I will pass on the outfit. I combed Le Top's website to find matching pieces and I could not find anything. I crave complete outfits. I must have coordinating items. OCD maybe? Probably. But, c'mon Le Top, give me a striped bow, a security blankie or somethin'! :) Very sweet jumper, though.

Infant Fashion Sunday: Naartjie Ohmigosh!

Sunday, August 17, 2014

Now before you judge me, I must make a disclaimer: I did not purchase all of these outfits. I left one of them behind, hehe. :) I have not purchased any baby clothes in a long time. Notice I have not posted infant fashion in what seems like ages? That's because nothing tickled my fancy. I was shocked to actually find something I liked for a change. I guess most summer clothes are not suitable for reborn dolls due to cloth bodies, so I don't shop much for doll clothing over the summer. But guess what, y'all? Fall is on the way, yippeee! :)

Naartjie is doing it BIG this fall! For those of you who don't speak "black speech", that means Naartjie has designed some of the most adorable pieces! :) I had to have them. I have Kylie Strydom and Shyann almost ready, a privately ordered Elise Michaels, and a Juniper from my private collection. All of them need clothes and Naartjie to the rescue! :)

Infant Fashion: Luna Luna Copenhagen Fall 2013

Sunday, August 18, 2013

I have not posted infant fashion in quite a while. Why you ask? Because the infant fashion fairies took a little vacation this summer, tsk tsk! :) I could not find anything I liked. The fall designs are AMAZING though. Take a peek and drool with me. :) One of my dollie mommies chose an outfit from this lineup. You'll have to wait and see which one. It's a surprise! :)

Infant Fashion Wednesday

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

I meant to post these items a long time ago, but better late than never, right? :) Like everyone else in the doll community, I am hooked on Naartjie! This set is so beautiful in person. I posted a progress photo of Lily Rain wearing the hat. The colors are phenomenal!

I think every doll collector and/or artist should have a bit of Sarah Louise tucked away for a rainy day. Gotta love these classic smocked designs!
This darling set by Next-- I have had for a couple of months, but never blogged it. Shame on me, lol. :) It is too cute for words!

Oh my, Rosalina has outdone themselves with this little bubble! I want it in a size newborn, but can't seem to find it. If anyone has a lead, drop me a line, pretty please? :)

And last but not least..I have had my eye on this organic set by Earlybirds for quite some time. I wish I could find the matching bunting thingy. I have the matching hat and blanket, but that's not good enough...me wants everything, lol! :)

Anyway, I hope you all are having a good Wednesday! I have two completed photo shoots that I cannot wait to share!
